Occupation: Yisaschar Ber was an educated merchant. While making Aliyya with his wife Shifra, Meitel daughter of R. Shneor-Salman has joined them and was kidnapped in Ismir but was laterly found after searches made by R. of Lubavitch command. His wife Shifra died in Ismir on the way to Israel. He made Aliyya in 1845 a.d. and lived in Hebron and laterly in Jerusalem where he died. He published many Hassidic books.
